Tour Overview 

This 8-day safari offers an unforgettable adventure through Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations, following the world-famous Great Wildebeest Migration and encountering Africa’s “Big Five.” Experience the diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife of Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park. Witness one of nature’s most thrilling spectacles as millions of wildebeests and zebras journey across the plains, and enjoy close encounters with elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos. 

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha | Moshi 

Karibu, Tanzania – Welcome to Tanzania. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by one of our staff members. After greet and meet services, he will escort you to your accommodation in Arusha ready for the safari tomorrow. Make sure your camera is fully charged and ready for the adventure.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park 

After breakfast, set off on safari in your private car and drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 120 km). Named for the river that nourishes the wildlife of a vast ecosystem, Tarangire is home to elephant, zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, buffalo, eland, waterbuck, lion, giraffe, onyx, and an unsurpassed diversity of birds. From June to November, masses of wildlife congregate around the river, but the park is a stronghold for big game year-round.

Day 3: Drive to Serengeti via Olduvai 

Break the lodge in the morning and drive towards Serengeti via Ngorongoro. Game and nature view on the way. You visit the Olduvai Gorge which is an important archaeological site. Lunch will be served in the bush today. Enjoy a short game drive in Serengeti as you drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest ready for tomorrow’s adventure.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park (Central & Northern Areas) 

Spend the full day exploring the Serengeti. Witness the Great Migration (seasonal), as millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move in search of greener pastures. Track predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards as they follow the migration.

Day 5: Full Day in Northern Serengeti (Migration Viewing) 

Head further north to where the migration is concentrated, especially during the river crossings of the Mara River (depending on the time of year). Spend the day observing the dramatic wildlife spectacle of thousands of animals on the move. 

Overnight: Heritage Mara Kogatende

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area 

After a morning game drive in the Serengeti, head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at a Maasai village en route to learn about the culture of this iconic tribe. Arrive at your lodge located near the Ngorongoro Crater rim. 

Overnight: Ngorongoro Wild Camp

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater 

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best places in Tanzania to see the Big Five. The Crater is also home to thousands of wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and flamingos.

Day 8: Lake Manyara to Arusha – Depart 

After breakfast at your lodge, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. You’ll have one last chance to spot wildlife, such as elephants, baboons, and a variety of bird species that make the park so special. After your game drive, depart for Arusha with a packed lunch, enjoying the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley. 

Upon arrival in Arusha, you’ll have time for some last-minute shopping or relaxation before being transferred to the Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
